Romsey - Stockbridge and back

Starting from Green Acre, Halterworth Lane, Romsey SO51 9AD at 10:00. 34 miles, Average .
10am start from our house; coffee at the Wellow fishery (I think it was last year we stopped here too, a lovely location) after 16km and then via small lanes to Stockbridge for lunch (at about 37km, bring sandwiches) and then a loop back home for a total of 54km.
There are obvious ways to shorten or lengthen that as required.
My planner says 500m of ascent and descent, most of that clustered around 4 locations on the route, two before the coffee stop and then one before and after lunch.  The majority of the distance is reasonably easy going.
I expect Alison will provide some nibbles at home when we get back, for those who are able to hang around.

Summer BBQ

Starting from Laurel Cottage, 148 Mudeford BH23 4AY at 13:00. Average . John and Sue Sutton have again very kindly offered to host a summer BBQ for us. The date is Saturday 26th July, and as usual you will have the option to ride from Mudeford to Burley for coffee in the morning. This may or may not be an organised ride. Please watch out for details nearer the time. The plan then is for you to arrive at John and Sue's home at or after 1 pm for chat and alcoholic and soft drinks (which will be supplied at cost price by John and Sue). Food (always delicious) will follow between 2 and 3 pm. There is an at-cost charge for this so please bring change amounting to about £10 a head. Please let John and Sue know if you plan to attend by emailing Sue at suesutton1@live.com and let her know whether you have any special dietary requirements. They are well used to catering for vegetarians. However if you are on a gluten-free diet, please bring your own bread or rolls, and John can cook other special eats for you on the BBQ if you bring them. The Suttons' home is Laurel Cottage, 148 Mudeford BH23 4AY. There is paid long stay car parking at the nearby Avon Beach car park BH23 4AN, and there is room for you to leave your tandem at their house if you have cycled.
