UNC threaded Brake bosses for Cannondale USA frame

Our "made in USA" Cannondale RT2 came with cable disk brakes. I added a set of V brakes to the fatty forks for extra security. No difficulty there as the forks accepted M8 metric threaded bosses but when we swapped to steel forks we could no longer fit front V brakes. Rather odd that the frame is threaded 5/16" UNC 18tpi pitch. It has been a struggle to find bosses. There was a specialist in Germany that carried them but I dithered and now they have shut up shop. New and delightfully light titanium bosses have just come from Speciality Retro Parts in New Jersey. Rather expensive with the postage but overall the upgrade to a third brake will not be unreasonable.
