Caravans for tandem family

After a rather chilly and breezy rally near Ashbourne we're thinking about getting a caravan. Since the caravan will replace the trailer we want to put both tandems inside so we're looking at the Swift Basecamp (with a rear door) which I know is popular with Tandem riders. I think we're going to try and get a 6 berth van given there are 4 or us (and potentially the dog) and think the 4 berth would just be too small.

Any useful advice anyone can share very gratefully received!

We have regularly travelled with tandems,  a longtail and loads of kids bikes in our Hymer. 
The key thing is to remove pedals and align handlebars. Ours isn't a rear door version but we can lift the bikes round the corner. It's very convenient, but you need to unload for overnight stops. Find a good anchor point to lock them to overnight, we used the A frame behind the tow hitch.
