Hi, we have a 1200k Audax in September starting from Deventer in NL. Would any members, especially NL members know the best way to use the trains or any other method to get us and the Tandem from Rotterdam port to Deventer. We are currently at the ITR if possible to discuss this.

Hi, We use a carrier supplied by JD Tandems. The front wheel is removed and the forks attach to an arm of the carrier. This effectively holds the front of the tandem in place while you lift the rest of the bike on to the carrier. No need to be a weight lifter.

Have you tried messaging Ed Pratt via his YouTube site! As well as unicycling around the world, Ed did a tandem tour in Kyrgyzstan, as well as living there for a while. Taunton Tandem group spent a long weekend at Wadebridge in mid-September. Some of us stayed at Pendavey House and Lodge, while the rest of the group stayed at Little Bodieve Campsite.
