We enjoyed a 30-mile ride along a variety of country lanes and cycleways, at one point passing underneath the runway at Exeter Airport, towards Topsham for a brief comfort break. We then made our way under the Motorway and then along the Exeter Ship Canal to the Double Locks where we enjoyed a coffee outside in the sunshine. This was all made possible by some good cycling infrastructure in and around Exeter, not perfect but not too bad either. The sight of us all cycling alongside some fairly major roads by the Airport was quite impressive.

We then made our way back along the canal, through the Quay and along the Exe Valley to Thorverton, where we were pleased to be joined by Grace for a pre-ordered lunch.
