Bishop's Stortfrod to Wimpole Hall - August 2015

Peter and Pat, Les and Gill, Sarah, Chris and Sheila and ourselves set off in perfect conditions for the longest ride of the year (100km).  We made good time for our mid morning stop at Clavering Lakes where we had some light refreshements and a good natter.  Chris and Sheila left us at this point to return to Bishop's Stortford.  We were making very good time until we arrived at the hilly section but this only slowed us down a little bit.   We then trundled along the last 10 miles at a fair speed and were entertained by several bi-planes flying out of Duxford plus a red kite hovering along the road.

After lunch at Wimpole Hall, we got back on the saddles hoping that the hills weren't as bad as we remembered, unfortunatley they were worse but we all eventually arrived back at base intact and not too worse for wear.  Tea and cakes soon restored the energy levels.
