Trying to Find Lol JONES CAN UOU HELP

I’m hoping someone in might be able to help me trace an old friend, Lawrence “Lol” Jones.

Lol was originally from Liverpool, later moved to the Isle of Man, where he supported the island’s cycling squad at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane. In 1985 he settled in Warminster, Wiltshire, and worked at John’s Bikes in Bath until around 1989. He was extremely well known as a specialist bicycle wheel builder — people travelled long distances just to have him build their wheels.

I believe Lol moved to France in 1992, and I’m hoping to reconnect after many years. If you ever met him, you’d remember him — he had an amazing, unforgettable personality.

I know lol and his wife were extremely sociable and enjoyed riding their tandem together .

If anyone has come across him, knew him, or has any information that might help, I’d be very grateful.

I Have attached a photo of Lol , taken in 1982 at the commonwealth games , he is the chap in then centre with red hair and glasses .
