George Longstaff Touring Tandem Tricycle.

Here is an opportunity to take possession of a unique machine – unique in that it is the last Tandem Tricycle engineered and produced by Longstaffs.

Designed specifically for touring, thus being lightweight (Reynolds Tandem Tubing) and built semi-ladyback to allow for a reduced balance/mobility stoker, the rear triangulation of the trike maintaining overall frame stiffness.

Completed 2017/18 it was only used up to late 2020 – including a moving-on tour in

France in 2019- when a stroke brought riding to a halt. Mileage recorded in 2020 shutdown was near 3000. Immaculate condition.

The trike is well fitted out for touring.

Gears  - Chainset Middleburn 38/26 with 165mm cranks.

• Derailleur Deore XT(9) 11-32
• Giving gearing of 22” to 93” built with 700c wheels.

Strong front forks and front wheels on Hope hub with Swiss DT rim and spokes giving good rigidity and control over varying road camber angles.
