For Sale: Exceptional Chas Roberts Tandem. Circa 1999

For sale is my late father's beautiful 1999 Chas Roberts (commissioned by Swallows Tandems) tandem, with decoupling frame, and a comprehensive collection of spares, panniers, travel bags as well as a full and detailed record of mileage, maintenance, correspondence, receipts etc. 

I don't know where to begin, as this bike was his passion and saw many touring holidays in France with my mother as his trusty Stoker. 
 

Both had Chas Roberts solo's, but the tandem was the jewel in their collection. 
 

During Covid, I had the bike shipped to Geoff Roberts to strip it and replace/repair anything he felt needed attention. One tyre, fresh brake fluid and a dab of grease was all that was needed. Geoff commented on how well the bike had been cared for in its 7,000 mile life. 
 

I'm keen for his bike to find an equally caring home as neither myself nor my wife are afflicted with the tandem bug; I ride an EMTB which helps with my knee injuries. Although my bike weighs more than the tandem.

There's far too much detail and information of which I'm unfamiliar with that can easily be clarified by going through the build list, spec sheets, diagrams, correspondence. 
 

My father was ex military as well as a pilot, so he kept detailed and accurate records of everything relating to his bikes (as well as household, cars etc). 
 

This really is a great opportunity to own an immaculate and venerated Chas Roberts tandem.
