The Obstacle Race

The following physics simulators are rough and ready and are an attempt to see the basic physics of a Tandem cycle.

Tandem Speed Calculator. This calculates the overal speed of a Tandem given the riders position, the all up weight and the power of the tandemists.
Brake heat Calculator. This calculates the temperature of the brakes on a long downhill decent. It shows how overheating brakes can occur.
Tandem Ride Speed Calculator. This calculates the average speed of a Tandem over a typical ride.
