Head support gives a good nights slight, but carrying that pillow from home isn't really an option. Here are some ideas:-

Dry Bag

I just put some clothes in a dry bag and use that. One great tip I learnt was to then put a Buff/snood around the bag to make it more comfortable

Packing Compressing Bag

I use a packing compressing bag for my clean clothes and cover that with a pillow case to be my pillow. Much bigger than any travel pillow so much more comfortable.

Pillow Case

I just take a cotton pillowcase and stuff it with spare clothing - at this time of year that's a duvet jacket but in a hot summer can be less comfortable!

I use my clothes bag squashed down, wrapped with a pure wool jumper wrapped around it.

Pillows

Lots on the market, here's a selection

Alpkit drift

At just 100g (including stuff-sack), the Drift camping pillow weighs just a touch more than that clean pair of undies you’re still trying to justify taking. It packs down to the size of a tennis ball, and should squeeze itself nicely into the dead space in your rucksack or seat-pack.

COMMENTS :- I'm an Alpkit Drift fan, just don't put much air in it, ANOTHER:- Used the Alpkit drift pillow a few weeks ago on my Rebellion Way ride, once you get the pressure right its very comfortable, blows up really easy and quickly, doesn't lose any air overnight, fit really well in the hood of a sleeping bag so it stays in place during the night ANOTHER:- another vote for the Drift, doesn’t weigh much and packs away nicely

Karrimor Camp Pillow

Karrimor memory foam, 10 quid from Sports Direct. So much more comfortable than the inflatable stuff!

Nomad sleeping pillow

Sea to Summit Aeros

Perfect for gram counting backpackers, the Aeros Ultralight Pillow has a soft 20D stretch polyester exterior and a silent, contoured TPU air bladder for support and comfort. Inflation, adjustment, and deflation take seconds, thanks to our patent-pending multi-function mini valve. Plus, secure your pillow to your sleeping mat using our unique Pillow Lock system.

COMMENT:- Sea to summit is by far the best for me and a game changer. It's quite expensive but no stiff neck In the morning is a godsend.

Trekology

COMMENT:- The treckology is good for the price but its doesn't have enough lift for me. Well  worth a look if you don't usually use a high lift pillow at home

Water Container

Vecto 2 Litre Water Container

Water when at the camping spot. We all carry at least one water bottle but I carry one of these to fill up and carry to the tent. It rolls up very small when empty. Handily a sawyer filter also fits the thread.
