For Sale: Orbit Velocity roof rack mount

An exceptionally well made (by my blacksmith wife) roof rack mount to carry a Orbit Velocity.

This was made to carry the tandem with the front wheel removed with superb rigidity and strength, this rack will not have your tandem wobbling like a jelly.

The front fork mounts in the front bracket on the rack that then pivots to allow the rear to be lifted up and the rear wheel sit in the holder, a strap holds the wheel secure. The additional support that also fits to the roof bars clamps the top tube, a pocket also supports the bottom bracket.

We did many miles with this fitted to our Hilux.

It's zinc coated then powder coated.

It will fit an orbit with a measurement of 6 foot from the front fork base to the rear wheel where it touches the floor.

The rear wheel holder was designed to take out slightly wider off road tyres but could be adjusted or packed out for road tyres.

The rack is designed to clamp to rectangular section roof bars, not the aero shaped ones, with a distance of 750mm between centres.
