FAQs
This list be expanded as we receive more questions.
Question | Answer |
---|---|
What is the earliest I can arrive on site? | 10am on Saturday 28th May |
Will there be spare copies of the cue sheets at the rally? | No - you must print your own copies of the rides cue sheets |
Will the site be manned throughout the day? | Not guaranteed – it is possible that no one will be on-site during the day, so you are highly recommended to secure your valuables and spare tandems/bicycles. |
Are there any electric hook-ups available? | None. But there are USB and electric bike charging stations and mains power points in the clubhouse and in the marque. The clubhouse will be locked overnight and opened first thing in the morning. See: Site Services Information |
Are portable generators allowed? | No |
Is the site level? | Yes |
Is there a motorhome service point? | No - you will need to bring a container to get fresh water from the taps to your pitch, and a separate container to move grey water to the hedges. |
How do I dispose of chemical toilet waste? | We are hiring a dedicated tank for disposal of toilet waste. Do not empty portable toilets in the rugby club as they have a septic tank and chemical toilet waste would cause problems. |
Are BBQs allowed? | No BBQs on the grass area at all. On Friday evening you may use your own off-ground BBQ on the paved area next to the clubhouse. |
Is there a fridge/freezer available? | There will be a fridge available for individuals to use, and some access to a freezer for freezer blocks. Bring your own freezer blocks and make sure they are marked with your name. |
Where can I wash dishes? | We are setting up an outdoor sink (cold tap only) for washing up. |
Car parking | For those staying on site please park on the right hand side of your pitch as you look at it from the drive ways. For offsite people there is a small car park area for about 15 cars but please make sure plenty of room is left for emergency vehicles to the campsite and club house. Also we need to leave room for staff, caterers and the bands etc. There is some additional parking at a small car park a few hundred metre to the west of the site. |
