Eight tandem crews assembled in the drizzle in Glastonbury to head to the coast. We stopped on the Levels at Sweets after just 8 miles where Malcolm and Grace joined us for coffee and cake and Bill who rode with us to Burnham on Sea.
The weather improved as the day went on and we were able to enjoy our picnic lunch on the seafront looking at miles of sand and mud as the tide was out! Dave and Janet joined us and we took the gravel track from the sailing club into Highbridge and back across the Levels for another tea stop at the Avalon Marshes Centre.
We enjoyed the well surfaced track beside the South Drain and old railway track for 3 miles, stopping for a group photo over the Drain and then back into Glastonbury to complete our 38 mile ride.
