The Taunton Group’s April ride was slightly different in two ways. Firstly it was organised on the spur of the moment and, with the help of the internet, still attracted 5 tandems and I solo, Secondly, the ride from Creech St. Michael did not take in ”13 bend hill” up to North Curry!

Instead we had a 30 mile loop around Taunton, through Orchard Portman and Pitminster to The Worlds End pub at Bradford-on-Tone. After lunch (too much choice on the menu!) we went through Bishops Lydeard (past the Steam Railway) to Hestercombe House for a tea stop. General comment was that we always seemed to be going downhill (the gradient not the quality of the ride!)
