Installing a Rohloff gearbox on a vintage tandem

I am exploring the possibility of fitting a Rohloff hub gearing system to my 1930's Claud Butler USWB. It probably had a Sturmey Archer 3spd when it was built. Does anybody know what the chainline dimension for the Rohloff hub is and if the width of the installation is adjustable. My present width is 115mm at the dropouts but it springs enough to take a 120mm /5 spd derailleur comfortably but I have no wish to spring it or spread it more. Has anybody converted their existing machine to the Rohloff? Any problems I need to watch out for?
Thanks
