The honeymoon may be waning a little! My little legs are having difficulty reaching the ground. I had supposed that a frame size of 19" would be fine, but I hadn't realised that the measurement bagan somewhere in mid-air ...
However, if I remobe the bracket which attaches the rear handlebars and lower the seat as far as possible I can reach the ground with both feet when at a standstill. However, Joyce is not a happy bunny when left with no handlebars to clutch.
So: is cutting 2" off the top of the seat tube a bright idea? Obviously I'd have to cut slots across the remaining stump to allow the clamp to tughten on the seatpost/rear bar clamp but stationary stability (= high confidence rating) would rule supreme and bluebirds would sing in a cloudless sky again (forgive me, I'm an old man - and would like to get older!)
As I've said before - HELP!
Tom.
