Disabled stokers

My wife and stoker has secondary progressive MS and, while she is unable to walk unaided for more than a few yards, she can provide at least some pedal power on the tandem.

We have a Dawes Double Edge mountain tandem and use it off road along rough forest tracks.

Unfortunately, the MS has progressed such that Janet finds it very difficult to mount the 18" rear of the tandem and is considering giving up.

Is anyone aware of a reasonable quality tandem with a step through frame which can be used off road. If necessary, we can stay off the rough tracks.
